PI Selected to Attend 2020 AFWERX Fusion 'Base of the Future' Event
Protective Innovations has been selected to attend the AFWERX Fusion Event from July 28 through July 30. AFWERX is is an innovation program established by the United States Air Force. This year’s Fusion Event is focused on the Base of the Future. Protective Innovations has submitted a proposal under the Base Security and Defense category.
Nevada National Guard Tests ASD
The Nevada National Guard tested Protective Innovation’s Active Shooter Detection technology during their semi-annual active shooter training. The test highlighted the importance of instantaneous notification of both building occupants and law enforcement. Bystanders were able to immediately take protective actions and law enforcement response times were significantly reduced through the use of Protective Innovation’s ASD technology.
PI Selected as 'Top 10' at AFWERX Fusion 2018
Protective Innovations was selected as one of the Top 10 companies at the inaugural AFWERX Fusion Event held in Las Vegas in 2018. AFWERX is is an innovation program established by the United States Air Force to help small businesses bring innovative technology to market. This inaugural AFWERX Fusion Event was a two-day competition where over 60 start-ups pitched their innovative ideas to Air Force leaders. Protective Innovations CEO, Chris Perrine, personally gave the commander of the Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center, Major General Bradley Spacey, a demonstration of ASD technology.
ASD Prototype Wins at D3 Summit
Before founding Protective Innovations, Chris Perrine was an officer in the United States Air Force. He led a team of Air Force Research Lab engineers to develop the Active Shooter Protection System, a predecessor to the current ASD. Chris led his team to be one of only 6 out of 500 teams to be selected from across the Department of Defense, Department of State, and USAID for the D3 Pitch Challenge where they won both the “Feasibility” and “Metrics” Awards.
